Editorial Policy

The rules every story on this site follows: primary sources only, attributed claims, no rumours, visible dates, and a correction note when something was wrong.

Sources

A story is written from the primary source: the company's own announcement or release notes, a regulator's decision or legal text, a court filing, a research paper, or a public financial filing. Press coverage can tell us that something happened; it is never the source of a fact. Every story lists its sources with links, and the primary source is linked where it is first used.

Claims

A number or performance claim made by a company is reported as that company's claim, with the company named. Where a source does not say something, the story says so instead of guessing. Dates, prices and availability come from the source and are not estimated.

What we do not publish

Rumours, leaks and reports based on unnamed sources are not published. Stories older than seven days are not published as news. A second story on the same announcement is not published; the existing story is updated and the update time is shown.

Dates and updates

Each story shows its publication time and, when it has been changed, its update time, both in UTC. Reference pages show their last review date. Dates in the sitemap and feeds are the real change dates.

Independence

There is no sponsored content and no paid placement. Companies connected to the operator are not covered because of that connection and are not mentioned in stories. Affiliate links are not used.

Corrections

Errors are corrected in the story with a visible note. See the corrections policy.
